Who Were You? Are You? WIll You Be?

for this page, i used crayola erasable twistables for the background, then erased lines to write on. the text on the first two lines refers to what i was then...when i was abused, and the first ten years following. the next two lines are about what i'm like now. the fifth line refers to the future, and the last line is a quote from Rabbi Label Lam, from a speech he said at the Ohr Naava Shabbaton...i believe last year.

  3. as always, i had a lot of help with it...i don't remember where i got the prompt from (i really have to start writing down my sources, so i can credit the people who give me my ideas!), but i didn't know what i was going to do with the colored background until after it was done, and i had erased the lines for writing. i flipped through my book of ideas, and that one sorta popped out at me. then, i had a TON of help coming in, i texted most of my friends asking for words describing me then and now...i was kinda hoping to leave out the quote at the bottom, and fill it with my hopes of words i want to be used to describe the "future me" but i got stuck, and couldn't ask for help on that one...

  4. I love the colors in this...the beauty. I like the circular nature of it...for I believe healing is circular in nature...not linear.

I also like the progression in the words you wrote. They show your journey...and you don't stop in the present...you express hope for the future.

I know you ran out of words for the future, but I think the quote expresses it well. You will keep growing and getting better. Yay!
