guess the emotion 2

guess the emotion! (if you spoke to me tonight, you can guess it pretty easily. i won't post your comment with the right answer if you did, until after other people get a chance!)

  1. if I didn't notice your upbeat sounding comment, I would have thought of anger and sadness and disappointment as in red for heart and heavy blackness over it. But maybe it is cheery as in chocolate dipped strawberry. I guess I'll just have to wait!

  2. grief pain and shame.. but maybe i'm just projecting... nevertheless, the black surrounding paint strokes appear to be containing SomeThing....something strong.

  4. LS-It's just a guess. I'm not so good at it and I didn't speak to you last night so I'm only guessing from the night before... :)

Think you'll spill the beans and let us know soon? Cuz I'm not sure what it is.

    Hmmmmm...another guess? I'm clueless...tell me, tell me!

  10. Hey LS (I'm the grief/shame/pain commenter)
I just read what someone said about getting over it and want to say that anger is a part of us that we don't get over. It is like a fire that we can transform into something creative.

  12. someone who caresJune 7, 2010 at 1:31 AM

I am anononymous 1. I'm at a loss as to what I should call myself but I will leave it as "someone who cares". I don't know that we can't ever get over anger. Often anger masks other emotions that we are not equipped to deal such as sadness, or disappointment, or feeling inadequate (or a host of others). It's sometimes easier to be angry and to project our anger than to delve into what's really fuelling our emotional reactions. Once we can face those feelings which are hidden from us (at that time), we will probably feel alot less angry and deal with what's really bothering us. Of course, there are always instances when the anger is an appropriate reaction to whatever is happening and there are ways to express angry feelings in a socially acceptable way. If we can resolve a situation that has made us angry, the anger should dissipate.

  13. i guess what i meant is, we don't get over anger, we learn to deal with it and work through it. it should dissipate with work, it's true, but that's not "getting over it".
